Door Community Auditorium St. Norbert Distinguished Lecture Series presents…Memory and the Aging Brain: Insights from the Lab to the Clinic
March 21, 2009 9:00 am to 11:00 am
As we age, the ability of the cells of our nervous system to generate or retain memories diminishes, resulting in age-related memory loss. This talk will examine the structures and systems of the brain important to memory and how they function in the retention as well as the loss of memory. Dr. David Bailey will conclude his talk with an explanation of the collaborative research conducted on animals and humans that has led to pioneering treatments for memory loss. This talk is free to the public. For more info, call 920-868-2728 or visit www.dcauditorium.org.
