Fish Creek is the undisputed center of visual and performing arts on the Door Peninsula and is nationally recognized for its wealth of cultural, visual, and performing arts.

The community is home to Peninsula Players Theatre—the nation’s oldest professional resident summer theatre; American Folklore Theatre; Peninsula School of Art; and the Door Community Auditorium. Year round, musical performances thrill and delight audiences. Only a “note” away, music of every dimension is only minutes away. From an intimate “house concert” to an old time brass band, the sound of music echoes throughout Fish Creek. One of the highlights of the year is the annual Peninsula Music Festival. Hosting world class musicians, PMF celebrates its 57th season in 2009.

Opening the “door” for artists from around the world, the Potters Wheel Studio and Gallery was established in 1956 and is still in operation. Fifty-two years later, Fish Creek is the home to a plethora of artists whose work is functional, fun, and sometimes funky. The Peninsula School of Art features classes in almost all mediums - from jewelry to painting in pastels - and at every skill level.
