Experience the sights and sounds of the holidays over Thanksgiving weekend as you visit some of Northern Door’s finest homes. Each home will be decorated in Christmas finery and offer a variety of entertainment from cookie baking and Santa greeting the kids to caroling. A charming magic show, Season’s Greetings celebrates the world’s holidays against the backdrop of winter’s wonderland. A one-hour performance featuring a mischievous elf, toy soldiers, and snow white doves, children of all ages will delight in the mystery and surprise of magic. “O Holy Night” is the Peninsula Chamber Singers 31st annual Christmas Concert. In celebration of the holiday season “O Holy Night,” a compilation of traditional Christmas carols arranged by the renowned English composer John Rutter will be the featured selection. The choir will also perform holiday music of a lighter nature with special appearances by The Doormen and the BlenDOORs.

“The Sweetest Music This Side of Heaven”
Celebrate the arrival of the New Year 2009 with “Auld Lang Syne” as performed by one of the most famous Big Bands. Premiered in 1929, band leader Guy Lombardo’s rendition of the Scottish song is world-famous. Under the leadership of Al Pierson, Guy Lombardo’s Royal Canadians continue the tradition of performing the song to enthusiastic audiences around the world.
